"In this painting, I aimed to capture the deep-seated distress inflicted upon the black family unit due to the pervasive influence of white supremacy. The composition encapsulates a poignant scene: a man, woman, and child, each visibly isolated from the others. This separation symbolizes the cyclical disruption and division within black familial structures, a direct consequence of systemic racism. Through subtle yet expressive nuances in their faces"
