Relgion/Afrofuturism, Description: Self portrait of the artist wearing garments and a headpiece that she constructed out of paper. The image blends Catholic iconography with African symbolism (as seen in the cross on the figure's head, the Ankh in her hands, the Classical European dress, and the African fabric covering the child).
