History, Portrait, Description: A figure looking at the viewer and behind them is the same image inverted. The figure is wearing many shell necklaces and is surrounded by different seeds and plants.This piece combines photography, archival images and illustrations, layering, textile manipulation, or other mixed media processes. Rome-Taylor's work is rooted in the strands of her heritage and the universal kinship we all share with nature.
