Print divided into two sections, one depicting the Boston Massacre, and the other a public lynching of three black men. The six serigraph series in a portfolio along with didactic text comprises a historic representation of the Declaration of Independence through the perspective of an African American woman. Ringgold collaborated with master printer and professor Curlee Raven Holton, who is also the director of the Experimental Printmaking Institute (EPI) in Easton, Pennsylvania.
