Artist in the House: Maren Hassinger

Artist Maren Hassinger visited the Allentown Art Museum on August 25, 2019, to perform “Women’s Work,” a participatory collaboration during which she and her audience manipulate newspaper into fibers and then use those to create a sculpture. Maren's newspaper mandala "Our Lives" (2018) is included in the Petrucci Family Foundation Collection of African-American Art and in the Museum's exhibition "An Essential Presence," on display from June 2 through September 1, 2019.
