In May of 2023, The Petrucci Family Foundation Collection of African American Art installed its first exhibition showcase in New York City. PFF worked with Program Producer, Linda Lees, to organize 12 panels and conversations that pair African American artists, curators, gallerists, and museum executives to discuss Black art - where it's been, where it is, and where it's going. On June 8th, we hosted a conversation about the past, present state and future of the African American art market. The panel was comprised of: Halima Taha, Moderator: Scholar and author of Collecting African American Art: Works on Paper and Canvas Myrtis Bedolla: Owner and founding Director of Galerie Myrtis Reginald Brown: Collector, Capital Markets Executive at Creative Capital, and Vice Chair of PAFA's board of trustees Nigel Freeman: Director of the African-American Fine Art department at Swann Auction Galleries
